Whats happening everyone!!? Here in Chicago as it sputters from winter to summer, we gear up for a beautiful summer.  Look for the VOODOO KINGS in the Best Original Song competition at www.bestoriginalsong.com.  You can listen to us and vote for VDK in the contest.. Just sitting here after a busy month in January and its already February. We have posted a new video on our vimeo channel from our last show a the Montrose Room. It was edited by Chuck Konefes. Thanks Chuck! You can watch it here:

VOODOO KINGS were also in the studio cutting an electric version of the song “strong will survive’ which appears acoustically on the last release “mileage”.  We had the benefit of working with Larry Sturm at Pressure Point recording studios down on Michigan Avenue… Beautiful place and a great session.   We are entering into an agreement with Magnatune.com to release all three of our CDs,  stay tuned for details.  We will also be featured on the site www.bestoriginalsong.com and will be competing in their weekly contest.  I love all these cool sites where you can listen to boatloads of music.  Check out www.weeklyindie.com and subscribe to this site.  VDK music is being featured on this site right now!!!!!

Back from the the Ukraine bleary eyed and satisfied.  From Kien to Kharkov to Donesk to Denepropetrosk and back to Kiev.  You can go from a village that hasn’t changed in a 150 years to Gucci and the Ritz in a matter of 150 kilometers.  A great experience, people were great and music was awesome.A great time at the Liverpool Club.  Thanks Alex for taking care of us.    Had a slamming time playing with Andre Howard and Tony Dale.  A kickin rhythm section!!!  Had a great show on Friday at the Montrose Room. VDK rocked!
